EJ Kids Care - Human Resources (HR) Supervisor
EJ Kids Care are looking for an exceptional Human Resource (HR) Supervisor to support the leadership of their Outside School Hours Care service. The Human Resource (HR) Supervisor role is supported by a strong leadership team overseen by P&C and is well suited to an OSHC professional who has current and relevant experience with a desire to work with and grow a strong team of Educators and deliver a high quality OSHC service for our community.

As the Human Resource (HR) Supervisor, you will be given responsibility to manage and lead the service. The P&C are seeking a Human Resource (HR) Supervisor who has commitment, enthusiasm, interpersonal skills and innovative ideas. The service is approved for 270 places.
​
The role is permanent full time (could be negotiated part time for the right candidate) and requires an individual with good management and organisation skills to promote quality systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have robust experience in an OSHC environment with confidence and competence in supporting the day to day operations and administration of the service with a specialist focus on human resource management including the end to end processes associated with recruitment, retention and performance improvement. The role will work within P&C approved budgets, liaising with key stakeholders and providing effective, regular reporting to the P&C. Applicants must have a strong knowledge and understanding of the Legislation relating to Education and Care Services, National Quality Standards and Child Care Subsidy (CCS).
Key Responsibilities:

Partner with the Nominated Supervisor to manage the entire recruitment process, from attracting qualified candidates to onboarding new hires.
-
Assist in developing clear job descriptions and conducting effective interviews.
-
Support existing staff in their professional growth journey by identifying training opportunities and facilitating development plans.
-
Collaborate with the Nominated Supervisor to conduct and track performance reviews, ensuring clear feedback and goal setting.
-
Partner with the Nominated Supervisor to maintain a comprehensive HR function, ensuring adherence to WorkCover regulations, employment laws, and staff record keeping.
-
Assist with processing background checks, reference checks, and ensuring staff certifications like first aid and CPR are current.
-
Manage the bi-weekly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
-
Handle weekly accounts processing, maintaining financial records efficiently.
-
Complete rostering alongside the management team to meet the service's weekly staffing needs.

Essential Requirements:

Or be working towards a Diploma of Children’s Services and/or Bachelor of Human Resource / Business or relevant higher qualification.

Working with Children Check – Blue Card
-
Approved first aid including CPR, emergency asthma management and anaphylaxis training

Evidence of meeting vaccination requirements.

Essential Requirements:

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, Bachelor of Education, or relevant equivalent

Southport State School OSHC - Assistant Coordinator
An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced Assistant Coordinator to be part of the team at the Southport State School P&C Association Outside School Hours Care (OSHC). The service provides before and after school care, plus vacation care and is licensed for up to 90 children. We have our own building and provide a supervision ratio of 1:10. The Coordinator is not included in this ratio.
The primary role of the Assistant Coordinator is to manage the service in partnership with the OSHC Coordinator and other Assistant Coordinator and be jointly responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the OSHC in accordance with the policies, and directions of the Southport State School P&C Association Management.
