

Anthony's presentation "Finding Courage to Help You Thrive" explores how educators in outside school hours care services can cultivate courage to enhance their personal and professional lives. By embracing vulnerability and resilience, educators can unlock their potential, foster stronger relationships, and positively impact the children they support.
Kerrie's session "Our Kids Count: Supporting mental wellbeing to help our children thrive", will explore key issues and topical discussions relating to children's mental health and wellbeing. Smiling Mind's approach to children's mental fitness skill development will be shared, as well as the importance of focusing on our own mental fitness, as key caregivers in children's lives.
The session aims to: Provide a development opportunity to better understand First Nations peoples, cultures and communities and how this relates to your plan; Talk about the consequences of racism, segregation and slavery; Improve our knowledge about why Australia has reconciliation with First Nations peoples, cultures and communities today; Improve knowledge of the history of Australia's exclusion to inclusion of First Nations cultures and peoples and the consequences of this on First Nations peoples and cultures today.
During this panel we seek to unpack some of the myths about the WRP grant opportunity, provide some clarification on workplace instruments and invite participants to make comments and ask questions about this important initiative.
